Eligibility For Admission

A pass in a recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination in 10+2+3 years pattern (or) 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern (or) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm. (or) AMIE with 2 years regular full time Teaching experience / Industrial experience in the relevant field after passing all the subjects.

Selection Procedure

Selection is based on the performance in MAT / CET / TANCET/NGI entrance test or any other All India Entrance Tests approved by AICTE, followed by Group Discussion and interview at the college.

Admission Procedure

As per Anna University and A.I.C.T.E norms.

Step. 1

On successfully clearing the selection process get a prescribed application form of the college by remitting the cost in Cash or D.D.

Step. 2

Send the duly filled application along with attested copies of certificates as given at (a) step 4.

Step. 3

Admission card will be issued to the candidates once the College accepts the application.

Step. 4

Admission will be confirmed when the following are submitted.

  • S.S.L.C Book and Mark Sheet OR 10th std. Mark List and Certificate.
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Conduct Certificate.
  • 10+2 / Equivalent Certificate and mark sheet.
  • Degree / Provisional Certificate.
  • Community Certificate.
  • Medical Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner (Applicants are advised to keep with them certified copies of the above certificates as the originals will not be returned on any grounds during the course period).
  • Passport size photos (6 Nos.) / Stamp size Photo - 2.
  • Remittance of the fees for the Course selected is made.

The College has the right to cancel the admission made if any of the certificates submitted is found false or the qualification of the candidate admitted is not approved by Anna University, Coimbatore.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Dress code

Boys

  • Formal dress (Normal & neat pant and tucked in cuff shirt, neatly polished shoes and tie) on normal days and neatly ironed uniform on Fridays and any specified days.
  • All the students should come neatly shaved on all days.
  • Hair dressing should be properly maintained.
  • No ornaments are permitted for boys with in the college premises.
  • Jeans & T-Shirts are not permitted within the college premises.

Girls

  • Non transparent Salwar with properly pinned shawls.
  • Girls are not supposed to come with free hair and heavy ornaments.
  • All girl students should wear uniform on all Fridays and any specified days.
  • Students should come with cut shoes on all days including Friday.

ID card

Students not wearing ID cards will not be permitted within the college premises and that day will be treated as unauthorized absence.

Attendance

  • 1. All the students are expected to maintain a minimum of 80% attendance to avoid any deficiencies.
  • For any day of unauthorized absence the student will have to pay a fine of Rs.200 per day.
  • More than two days of leave should be accompanied with Medical Certificate in case of medical reasons. Otherwise the students should bring the parents while reporting to college.
  • Prefixing / Suffixing of any public holiday is not permitted except for the deserving cases with sufficient proof.
  • In case of emergency, oral permission should be taken from either the Director or principal before proceeding on leave, failing which, it will be treated as unauthorized absence .
  • Leave application alone with necessary documents should be submitted before reporting to the class

Mobile Usage

  • Three internal assessment tests will be conducted per semester.
  • No retest for those who fail to attend the test on the scheduled date.
  • Due weightage is given to the student attendance as per the criteria given by the University.

Seminar hall

  • The seminar Hall with all the facility is for the proper usage of the students for academic related activities.
  • Students have to get the prior permission and approval for using the Seminar Hall from the Lab in – charge and Principal before the commencement of the program.
  • After the program a proper handover of all the equipments should be carried out.
  • Any damages caused to the equipments or furniture's should be reported to the concerned in charge immediately

Working Hours

The students and staff are expected to be in the class by 9.00 am, except due to on unavoidable circumstances, where prior information is given to the class teacher.

Students reporting to the class after 9.00 am will have to take the permission from HOD to enter into the class.

Students not following the class timings will attract disciplinary action.

Faculty Responsibilities

  • Faculty members play an important role in both academic and other activities of the Institution. They are expected to be the role model for the students in all aspects.
  • Faculty members are expected to engage the concerned class on time and exit after the specified time.
  • Faculty members are expected to utilize all the available resources while disseminating the lectures.
  • Faculty members are advised to keep the students under control in the class during the lecture hours.
  • All the faculty members are advised to communicate only in English inside the campus and not in the regional languages.
  • Faculty members are strictly prohibited from availing any of the services from students for their personal gains.
  • Faculty members are not supposed to treat the students in a biased manner

Technical / Non – Teaching staff

All non – teaching and technical staff are expected to deliver their respective duties in a diligent manner as per the directions of the concerned department head.

The technical staff members are requested to take at most care in maintaining the respective laboratory/library/equipment and maintain an error free environment for the students to leave.

Strict measures are to be taken to maintain a silent atmosphere and to provide a conducive learning experience to the students.

Any problem faced by the non – teaching staff members is to be brought to the immediate attention of the supervisor and in turn to the HOD.

The technical / non- teaching staff are to maintain all the equipments in operational condition as per the quality norms of the equipments

ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR THE UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS

A student will be allowed to appear for the university examinations at the end of the Semester only if:

  • He/ She has 80% of attendance.
  • He / She shows satisfactory progress in studies in all the tests and examinations conducted by the college/department during the semester and secures at least reasonable minimum of mark in them.
  • His / Her conduct in the college during the semester is satisfactory.

RAGGING

Ragging is totally banned in the college and it is a punishable offence.

GOVERNMENT ORDER ON RAGGING

The Government of Tamil Nadu has banned ragging in educational institutions by passing an order "Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act 1997" wide its order no: 7 of 1997 dated 14-02-1997 which says that indulging in ragging will be punishable as follows.

  • Imprisonment up to a term of 2 years.
  • A fine of Rs.10,000/-
  • Students convicted of ragging will be dismissed from the institution and shall not be admitted to any other Educational institutions.

Hence students are advised not to indulge in ragging but to rise up totally against the evil.

DISCIPLINARY REGULATIONS OF TAMILNADU EDUCATIONAL RULES:

The attention of all the students is drawn to the following Tamil Nadu Educational rules:

Principal or other constituted college authorities may frame and issue from time to time the disciplinary rules of permanent or temporary characters regulating the conduct in and outside the college premises of students so far as such rules seem necessary to maintain the reputation of the college

Principal or other constituted authorities shall have full power to inflict the following punishment in the interest of the students or in the interest of the institution.
